Wow. Am I conflicted...A friend wrote me yesterday, "Most people seem to use 'AI Art' in such a low effort manner that it's actively distracting..." #ActuallyAutistic
What makes your work "art" to me is the purposeful composition from your own mind. Sure, nVidia GPU's did the heavy lifting of placing pixels in visually pleasing ways - something many of us are particularly bad at. But crafting prompts is indeed a skill, especially when we are crafting the prompts in service of approximating our own internal worlds rather than boring, stock usage. I don't think you could make use of those "guides" on the "best prompts for Midjourney or DALLE" and wind up with the same results as you achieve on your own. Your minds eye is just far too unique, and to me, captivating!
Thank you. The truth is, it's not as simple as prompting. All these represent multiple AIs involvement as well as my sketching and digital painting. Then... You hit Photoshop to create the final composition. Then you run it thru other AIs to see if they can improve your work so far .. then you hit the upscaleta and another round of Photoshop. I don't want to put focus on the effort however. Hours and days for the best ones.
It's the image. I don't care what I do to summon the demon. I just want to see the best image.
The details are boring to talk about. But the focus required? An opportunity for autistic joy
